Terms of Use

Effective Date: June 3, 2026

Welcome to Assete, a browser extension for Chromium-based browsers (the "Service"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service. By installing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Provision and Risks

We are dedicated to providing a reliable Service and use commercially reasonable efforts to fix bugs, minimize disruption, and mitigate security risks. In the event of issues, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to address them promptly.

However, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly secure. Your access to and use of the Service is undertaken at your own discretion and risk.

2. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of business, lost profits, or any other damages, and applies to any acts, omissions, or failures of a third party or any matter beyond our reasonable control.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree not to misuse the Service or use it for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for your use of the Service, for any content or procedures you generate or submit using it, and for complying with all laws that apply to you.

4. Monitoring and Consent

The Service captures activity in the browser where it is installed. If you deploy or use the Service to capture, observe, or analyze activity involving other people (for example, employees, colleagues, or a client's team), you are solely responsible for determining what notices and consents are legally required and for obtaining them before doing so. We are not a party to that relationship and accept no responsibility for your compliance with employment, privacy, monitoring, or data-protection laws.

5. Generated Procedures

The Service uses an on-device model to draft Standard Operating Procedures and similar outputs from your activity. These outputs are generated automatically, are provided for your convenience, and may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing any generated procedure before relying on it, sharing it, or using it to automate work, including before handing it to a third-party tool such as Claude. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of generated outputs for any purpose.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content we provide, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits. Procedures and outputs you generate from your own activity belong to you.

7. Data and Privacy

The Service runs locally on your device and does not transmit your data to us. For details on what is processed and how, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time, and will reflect the new effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
