1. Information We Collect

We do not collect your captured activity data. By default, all information Assete captures stays on your device.

To build its dashboards and discover repetitive work, Assete works from your activity in the browser where it is installed: the pages you visit and the time you spend on them, your clicks, and the text you type, copy, or paste. You can exclude any site at any time.

This activity is stored locally in your browser, and nothing is ever sent anywhere on its own. When you request a discovery, only the portion of activity needed for that analysis is sent to the AI service you have connected: your own enterprise AI (such as Claude) or our secure instance. It is processed in transit only, never stored, and never used to train models. Anything beyond this is shared only if you choose to share it (see Section 3).

2. Local Storage

All browsing activity data is stored locally in your browser. This means:

• It stays on your device unless you choose to share it (see Section 3).
• If you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or change computers, your data will be lost.
• We do not store or have ongoing access to your captured activity.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data, and we never receive your captured activity ourselves.

Assete includes an optional feature, turned off by default, that lets you give an external AI assistant (such as Claude) read-only access to your activity on your device. You choose whether to turn it on, what it can see, and when to turn it off. If you enable it and ask the assistant to access your activity, the information you request is shared with that tool and its provider under their own terms, at your direction. Assete still never receives your captured activity.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies or third-party trackers.

This website measures its own traffic: which pages are opened, roughly how long a page is read, and where a visit came from. It runs on our own servers, with no advertising networks and no third parties involved. It records no personal information and nothing that identifies you, and the identifier it uses lasts only until you close the tab. This is website measurement only, and is entirely separate from the extension, which never sends us your captured activity.

5. Permissions

Assete requires browser permissions solely to observe your browsing activity and display time-spent statistics. These permissions are used locally and do not enable any collection of your activity by us.

6. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes through the Chrome Web Store.
